The number of apps available to download on mobile devices continues to develop at rapid speeds. If you can think of it, there’s probably an app already available for it—including apps for pet parents. 

These apps can be used for a variety of things including monitoring, setting reminders, finding walkers, locating boarding kennels, and other pet-related conveniences. While there are already numerous apps for dog parents specifically, that covers only one of the many beloved pets in our homes!

Let’s take a closer look at nine different mobile applications that all pet parents can download to help make their pet-parenting duties easier.  


1. Petcube


Petcube is a combination of a physical product along with a mobile app for pets and pet parents alike. The product side of the Petcube consists of a variety of in-home cameras and treat dispensers. The camera/treat dispenser combo is controlled using a downloadable mobile app available for both iOS and Android—allowing pet parents to check in and feed their pets a snack, even when they aren’t home. This is perfect for pets who may have separation anxiety and often spend time home alone. It also gives users the ability to chat with licensed veterinarians.

If your pet requires medical attention, then the mobile app MyPet Reminders may be just what you and your furry friend need. This app helps users remember when to give their pets their medications and log them for future reference.

While this app provides information on how to help animals with medical conditions, it is not intended to diagnose and/or treat them. Doing so will require the help of a veterinarian professional. Instead, this app is intended to provide advice and helpful tips for those who have pets with the above conditions—such as a support group. 3. Rover


Are you looking for a one-stop-shop that helps you find a boarding facility, pet sitter, or dog walker? Rover is a mobile application that gives users a chance to find a pet boarder, sitter, and/or walker in their area. It is a trusted website that thoroughly screens applicants (the dog walkers, pet sitters, and boarding facilities) before suggesting them to their users.

It is a great resource for all pet parents, especially those who need to return to work but have no place for their pets to go. If your schedule is jam-packed, then use the Rover app to find someone to walk your dog. This will  provide your furry friend the opportunity to get out and stretch their legs during the day. , but is  Plus, it’s a great way to ensure they get the proper exercise without making you feel overwhelmed, behind schedule, or that your dog is bored at home alone. 4. PetParent


Similar to other social media platforms, PetParent is an app that allows pet parents to share, comment, and like pictures of one another’s pets. Other perks of downloading the PetParent app—which is available for both iOS and Android—are that pet parents can:

  • Add important events regarding their pets to their calendar and set reminders
  • Instantly access their pet’s immunization records, medication lists, and health history
  • Stay organized with to-do lists, shopping lists, emergency contacts, and other notes regarding their pet

You’ve heard of dating apps for people, but what about dating apps for pets? Petamiko is just that:an app for finding furry friends for your furry friend. It’s also an app that pairs prospective pet parents with pets who match their needs, veterinarians in their area, dog insurance, and other friends for your pets. This app is available for iOS and Android users.

11Pets is a petcare platform that provides users with an array of resources for caring for their pets. This includes:

  • Access to professional groomers
  • Networking opportunities with other pet parents
